Dr. Sarah Cassou is an experienced, passionate and skillful chiropractor at Virginia Family Chiropractic, with offices in Alexandria, Manassas, Falls Church, and Woodbridge, Virginia. She specializes in treatments for scoliosis, TMJ disorder, and dry needling. As a certified Chiropractic BioPhysics® practitioner, she is skillfully trained to correct spinal structure, helping hundreds of patients avoid surgery and achieve amazing results through natural methods. She is also gifted in the field of treating whiplash injuries.
Dr. Cassou received her Doctorate degree in 1995 from Palmer West College of Chiropractic. She uses her extensive training and wealth of experience to help people improve their quality of life. A major health advocate, and believer in a holistic lifestyle, Dr. Cassou believes that chiropractic care can help patients achieve optimum health naturally.
Dr. Cassou is trained and certified in chiropractic biophysics, which means that she is an advanced chiropractor. Her BioPhysics specialization means that when patients come in with abnormal spinal curvature, that with advanced techniques and treatment, she can restore the abnormal curve into a normal one. As a result, not only is pain alleviated, but patients transcend into a state of ultimate health and wellness with the body functioning at maximum levels. During dry needling treatments, small needles are injected through this skin into areas of the muscle (trigger points) to relieve myofascial pain. Additionally, with her extensive TMJ training, Dr. Cassou treats jaw and TMJ pain and symptoms without the use of medication or surgery.
Dr. Cassou feels that the most important part of her work is helping patients get better, and keeping them there. She is truly zealous about what she does, and cares about every patient. She enjoys seeing her patients live better lives due to their treatment.
In her spare time, Dr. Cassou enjoys hanging out with her husband, her dogs (Max and Oreo), both of whom she rescued from hazardous conditions. In addition, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family.
